Arrowmont Library

October 7, 2008

I’m finally getting around to posting a few more things about my trip to Arrowmont last month. Arrowmont has a beautiful library, the Marian G. Heard Resource Center.

The library holds over 10,000 volumes related to art and craft.  All are housed in this comfortable, welcoming and well  appointed reading room in the main building.

I think I need one of these in my garden

Loving the new Sedaris

June 11, 2008

This weekend, before driving back to Gainesville from St. Pete, I splurged on the audio CD version of David Sedaris’ new collection of essays, When you are engulfed in flames.   I’m sure the print version is great too–but to hear Sedaris read his own work is wonderful.  Laugh-out-loud funny…worth the splurge f’sure.

slow start

June 11, 2008

Well, it’s been a slow start here for my little blogging project.  I’ll blame family issues and my missing camera usb cord.  As for the latter…I’ve been cursing nikon, since you evidently can’t buy said cords from anyone except THEM.   And just try to find it on their website.  Go ahead…try.    I don’t like the camera all that much.

I’m hoping to get back in the studio this weekend, though, so perhaps there will be an artisan update soon.

How cute is this?
